An emerald necklace was stolen from a family in India in 1851 by the Earl of Copton. Guy and Angel track him down, and secure jobs at his manor house in hope of finding the missing jewel, but when Guy stands up for one of the maids, it is him who gets arrested and thrown in police cell.
Angel has to race against time to prevent Guy from sailing off on a convict ship to Australia, will she make it? You'll have to read the book to find out.
